Hi everyone

Just wondering which are the good cycling stores in Cape Town? Live in Claremont and been unimpressed with my LBS. Any suggestions?

ThanksSmile

No silly cyclone. Dirtrider lives in Gauteng and Williams is in Somerset West.

Thanks that might be a little far...

I'm also fairly new to Cape Town. I'd been to a bunch of store but can honestly say the Epic Bike shop in Plumstead has been consistently the best, by quite some way. Really awesome level of service, coffee to die for LOL and arguably the best real product knowledge I've come across in town.

Everyone has thier favourite, and everyone else has had a bad experience with everyone elses favourite.

For bike servicing, BMC has never dissapointed. But they arent cheap.

For stock and products, Willie Engelbrecht is pretty good.

I wouldn't forget about Chris Willemse (online) for some things. Bridge often has good prices.

For service and maintenance, Lance at the Epic Bike Shop in Plumsted is your man.  Know MTB's inside out and I only trust him with my road bike.  Several mates can also vouch for the pre-Ironman service he did for them.

Bridge Cycles carry loads of stock and they are always willing to negotiate.

Willie Engelbrecht has the best selection, but don't expect a smile, even if you are dropping a few grand!!

I will also put a hand up for Lance and Alex at Epic in Plumstead, always great service.

Olympic are in your area, I have had good service from them. and they carry loads of stock, a bit like Bridge Cycles.
