That is one odd track. Looks like someone just ran downhill trailing bunting tape....

 

I'm all for "natural courses" but that is a little bare for my liking.

always been like that - steep and fast..its a different type of course..all about bike handling as opposed to choosing the best lines

I guess it makes sense for a "different" experience - I do think it fits a specific rider though. It's all off camber mud and a few jumps.

 

World Cup courses have much more variety which rewards a "well rounded" rider.

 

My opinion of course - each to their own...

That track drops almost 700m. If you think that's not a test of a rider you are deluded.

 

What you don't get from the pictures and video's is just how steep that mountain is and how slick the mud is.

 

It takes 2 ski lifts to get to the top of Mont Cheri. In the "normal" riding season you can only access the bottom half of the mountain. The top lift is for walkers only.
