Mongooser Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 So the DH bike i bought was meant to be a Small frame, turns out its a medium. im struggling to ride it and it doesn't fit on my bike rack either, not really sure what i should do about this, keep the frame or sell it and get a smaller one
Muzzarati Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Ride the biggest DH bike you can, it's better like that.
Mongooser Posted June 18, 2016 Author Posted June 18, 2016 Ride the biggest DH bike you can, it's better like that. problem is I mainly jump with the bike and its reach is to long, i need a shorter frame
Mada3400 Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 problem is I mainly jump with the bike and its reach is to long, i need a shorter frameor a shorter stem with higher rise bars
Muzzarati Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Longer jump bikes are also way better, especially if you're a beginner.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Plus you've still got to hit your growth phase. Won't get much smaller than that morewood. Plus the reach on that frame is relatively short. Old school geometry and all that. It's a dh bike. Not a jump bike.
The MTBer Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I would rather go bigger than smaller! I am 1,92m tall and I am on a L Mongoose, and jumping is very difficult because you can't control it so lekker in the air. I would say stay on a bigger bike for jumps. On the bike rack issue, that is kinda weird because smaller bikes tend to not fit bikes racks.
Mongooser Posted June 18, 2016 Author Posted June 18, 2016 thinking that i should trade it for a small 160mm enduro bike, like a 2009 morewood mbuzi
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Yo goose...How tall are you also - how old.
