And just yesterday I read in a reputable source Men's Health that strapping ice packs to your quads / hamstrings during warmup will improve your performance.

 

What will it be tomorrow?

Going to try something... or at least, I stopped doing it some time back. When done washing, close the warm water and finish off in cold water.

Is a huge shock the first few times, but you get used to it.

 

Also took this approach at the sauna, cold shower, sauna, cold shower...

My Gran always told me that you never go out into the cold after a hot bath.

And my Gran knew EVERYTHING.

Don't they all hey, I even use what they told us with my kids.

Best way to get out into the cold is to get out into the cold. .....the comfort eventually comes when you warm up and your body heat keeps you lekker.

 

So there isv a guy who commutes with us who used to hate going out in the cold, and he would have a hot shower before a cold run or cycle. .....now he just gets up and goes and does not mind the cold, even with a nice storm with rain and wind.

 

What I am trying to say is ........
