Skylark Posted June 28, 2016 Share So eBay/Dx/Aliexpress/Gearbest/Banggood etc etc have some amazing deals lurking amongst the dross but sifting through the endless amount of listings can be very challenging. This thread is for people to post the deals they have found, preferably only once the item has arrived and been put to the test. Also tips on how to use various websites, searching, shipping, items not received etc... Start the good times!! As per Bikehub rules(and common sense), do not post links to fakes/unlicensed replicas etc, a copy is fine(ie looks almost the same but unbranded and not sold as a branded item)
Skylark Posted June 28, 2016 Share I'll post my most recent eBay acquisition, I paid R34($2.09 USD) incl shipping, the price is a little higher now:Carbon Fiber Headset Spacer set - 3mm 5mm 10mm 15mm 20mmhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/161881084822 The quality is spot on, I can't see any difference between the carbon spacers(Ravx I think they were) I bought for a mint at the LBS last time and these, having all the different sizes means you can fine tune your stack height to perfection. I'll let you know what it's like when it arrives. Gearbest is about the cheapest for 18650 cells, this is one of the best 18650 cells made(for lower current purposes, under 5A draw - most purposes except mod vapers and extreme lumen lights), NCR18650B 3.7V 3400mAh:http://www.gearbest.com/batteries/pp_187046.html That is the protected version, unprotected is a little cheaper. Skylark Posted June 29, 2016 Share In the last 2 months or so eBay shipping from China has gone from typically 8-12 weeks down to 4-5 weeks, seems the Post Office intl hub must have finally cleared out their backlog from the strikes a yr or 2 ago. Skylark Posted July 6, 2016 Share Saw some twit selling Rockbros Spurcycle style bells in the classifieds for R400, that's a ridiculous price seeing the better made American manufactured Spurcycle bell is R500 and they sell for Rockbros etc clones sell for for around R100 incl postage. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Retro-Stainless-Steel-Brass-Bicycle-Bell-Bike-Sound-Handlebar-Classical-Ring-Horn-Safety-Cycling-Bicycle-Riding/32654640014.html http://www.ebay.com/itm/bike-bicycle-cycling-handlebar-retro-classic-ring-bell-horn-sound-alarm-safety/361448549884 For all the people moaning about "but its just a copy of the Spurcycle support the originators", well the Spurcycle is itself a copy of a Japanese bell, the Crane E-NE Bell, this one here:http://www.ebay.com/itm/crane-e-ne-bell-stealth-black-matt-silver-polished-copper-matt-gold/231848319118

The site is perfectly legit. If you select priority shipping, it will take about 10 days. Standard shipping is dependent on the post office.
