MTB route in Northern Pretoria Area's

Can anyone assist with a nice/safe route in the Pretoria North area. I am geting to the point of ony being able to ride on weekends, but some week morning is have some time to ride. PLease assist.  Thanx

The are no such thing as a safe cycle route anymore . I think you should speak to Speke as it seems he knows a few places in the Wonderboom area .

The velo club also rides out from the Engen on atterbury road, but make sure you go with a buddy or make friends there fast, because they will leave you for dead if you dont keep up.

Went with them to klapperkop, chain came off on the XC track and was my first time so lost the back of the group. that was the last I saw of them, and being a JHB boitjie it was lots of fun finding my way back to my car. Needles to say I havent been back.

some of the routes are fun, especially along the rail road track.

Must be bunch of roadie mtb'ers . We never ,ever leave anybody behind . I have also been on a ride with a group once who left a sweet old ladie all on her own and I stayed with her till we got back but that was the end of my friendship with this group .

I will contact the karsten cycles person. Will see what they have and what advise.

 

I come from a off road motorcycle background. Group ride are exactly what it is ....group ride.

What is the point of ride and leaving people behind.....
