Any info on Stellenboch Cycle tour

Does anybody know what is going on with the SCT?

 

Is it happening this year?

 

The website seems to be down, and if you follow thie link bicycling gives you it takes you to 2015 entries. 

 

I would like to enter for my first race after my crash, since I need to do at least one just in case i am lucky enough to get selected for the CTCT.

Also made the trip down last year and thoroughly enjoyed the race.

Says 11 Dec this year.

You could also do the One Tonner which has a shorter 109 km distance thrown in as well.

I am not a local but it seems the 109 is to follow most of the SCT route.

Think I will do the SCT instead, being closer to Christmas and the inlaws stay in Gordon's and ...and ...and... and..... collect pink slips.

No panic needed dudes.  The SCT always open very late for entries. Expect it to open somewhere in early October.

Considering riding to Stellies from PE/Riversdale for this.My old hood for 25yrs.  Save the air fare and entry fee as I am not a PPA member.    Would be good to get back and do it again.

I won't squeal, promise. I added a T-shirt for R240(?) so it will be hypocritical from me. R350 is worth every cent for this race, despite non-road closure. Also it is very close to Root 44 for post race liquid refreshments.

What! My son is gonna freak out. I don't think he is quite ready yet to start in 1A. He might stay with them up Hels, but they will drop him on the descent, unless he stays tight in that group.

 

I am in 3K. Quite happy with that.
