No Qualifying, just enter. To get better seeding do a racetec timed race or 2.

The route is fairly easy though

It says on the website you need to qualify ?

Just enter. No qualifying criteria. Just that you won't have good seeding so expect to start in the later batches. Last year there were 8 batches.

Basically you had to have completed a 40km+ MTB race that were Racetec timed / SA Seeding timed since Oct last year till 30Sep this year.  (From what I remember)

It is indicated more clearly under the MTB FAQ section of the Cycle Challenge site; which appears to be down at the moment ...

hmmmm

Now worried, did the Believe Choc Cow Mtb race the weekend to qualify,it was a qualifying race last year.

It's not racetec timed.

Anyone know for sure if this is recognised by 947.

CycleChallenge web site is down so can't ask them.

I have ,

but at the time of entering, they only seem to be seed you later, and i only have till end of Sep to get a qualifying race, but looking at CycleEvents there don't seem to be any Racetec timed races.

Our boards looked like they were SS labeled, so x fingers.

How about just enter and see what happens?

So the issue here is 'seeding' rather than qualifying, 2 very different things me thinks ....

well in their language...

They only seed later, at which time they then indicate if they recognise your qualifying race,

if they then don't recognise it they then see you into the 25km race.

if they recognise it they seed you into a 55km batch.

Ah OK .. clearly I'm not really up to date with the changes ... I just enter and hope for the best

So you have not entered a racetec race but you enter the 55 and pay the R310 they then bump you down to the 25km which is R235. Are they going to reimburse you the difference.

I'l likely to say, in my dreams, they will play the card: "it is my responsibility to make sure I've done a racetec timed race"

Never mind that the the Choc Cow Mtb race was a qualifying race last year.

Are there any Racetec or qualifying races before the end of September ... does the JUMA count ?
