Second hand Specialised Epic

Hi Guy's.

 

Got a mate wanting to sell his 2015 Epic, I'm keen to buy it, but we'd like to know what a fair (market related) price for a 2015 Epic Sworks in reasonable condition would be. Any suggestions?

this is a piece of string question. for a start, a 2015 epic is not that specific as there are loads of models in the range.

Hi there...The better question is (you list bike ,year,approx km,model name not just Epic ,list components ,standard or aftermarket etc and his asking price).

Or just go and type Specialized Epic in the Classified search and do the comparison yourself.

Specialized or S-Works Epic. There is a big difference. The other big thing is frame size. Large most popular, other sizes has less retail value. Post pic of bike.

Assuming bike was recently serviced (fork, shock, rear hub, BB, headset and brake bleed), I would start with 50% of current replacement value, less a further 5% for every year passed. Assuming its not fitted with Di2, the calc is R149 000*40%= R59 600 If full service is required, I'd offer R55 000.
