HaHa, neither do I Gen. This "addiction" could be a lot worse, and I just hope that the bicycles are being ridden. Ride hard and appreciate what you have got - you are a lucky man.

Super Horrible addiction. I managed to avoid it for years and years with my PC's, Then i got it bad with my Bicycle. Now i own a nice car to transport bicycle, and I have about R1,3k service bill coming up for my  MTB and some more to spend on road bike to keep it running. I also need to bring pc upto scratch at same time.

 

Best solution i found is do a lot of research, and only buy what you really really need to keep gears turning.  

Also dont buy wife a bicycle its gonna just take space and gather dust.

I have the exact same problem. This is how I deal with it:

 

Step1: Don't get married;

 

Step 2: Don't have kids.

 

More money for bike stuff

Whenever I see great deals like that, my mind immediately starts running the numbers - sell the spare car, sell my scooter, move this to there, whatever - there's always a way.  Luckily I'm easily distracted so soon forget about it...

Wait till day before payday, what ever is left in your account you allowed to use for hobbies.

 

Sometimes you need to wait few pay days (its called saving) to have enough money left for that toy you need.
