I'm sure the guys from Cadence published loads of info on this recently. At high intensity the preferred fuel is carbs irrespective of diet. Stop taking all of this sweet crap and rather take a sandwich cut into 4 pieces with peanut butter and honey. Ride the race slowly and enjoy it. You will suffer and you will hate yourself for entering but that comes with being unfit and not having the experience. Maybe consider doing the 60km?
