Guys.

Who is your prefered agent to take your bikes especially Scotts for a service in Gauteng/Pretoria area ?

The place I bought my bike from either doesn't care about after sales service or doesn't have a clue what they are doing ! And Judging by their crap attitude, I reckon it might be the first mentioned.

Hence I'm now desperately looking for a reliable place to look after my bike.

Hi,

Try Hatfield Cycles, i've only had good service from them.

And personal experience, no go on Bruce Reynecke

Thanx EllisvO. But it is unfortunately Hatfield I'm refering to.

Won't be going back there any time soon.

You might want to try Hot Spot- they are also big on Scott.

I use them for the last 4 years or so and never had a problem.

Same as Hatfield.

Cycle Lab in Lynwood...fantastic service! one of the mechanics used to work for hotspot cycles, I met him at cycle lab by accident and I immediately switched over.

I've decided to give Lynnwood Cyclery a chance with my next service. I took my bike there a while ago to get a new seat post and was quite impressed with their meticulousness.

The precision and care with the way they fit a seat post was out of this world.

I have great service from Hotspot with my scott, but keep in mind they can get pretty busy at times. Make sure you talk to Niel.

Also received great service from Epic cycles, Dian knows his stuff.

Bottom line - get to know someone at the shop and you will get better service.

Hotspot sells Scott so you can probably take your bike to them.  But I see you are in Centurion, so like other have said I will recommend Tool-up Cycles.

Even though they do not sell Scott Bikes they picked up a hairline crack in my chainstay during a service and did the whole warranty process with Scott SA for me and did the chainstay replacement
