c02 Storage #Question?

Hey guys

Perhaps a silly question but getting ready for a race and wondering... Can or do people store the top of the c02 (inflator) on the c02 cartridge itself while not in use and in bag/bike?

Some pictures I see the inflator on the canister strapped to the bike. If it punctures before use will it stay usable or not advised?

Thanks

In those images the bomb is only partially screwed onto the adapter so it is not yet puctured.  When you need it you just screw it in completely.

It is not coincidence that a co2 cartridge is shaped like a suppository.

Thats why you never see them taped to a real pro seat post, they save weight by storing them where its warm and safe.

Thanks for the chuckle.......

I use the topeak race pod. The inflator has two threaded sides one for storage and one for inflation. Attaches very securely to the bike. Have not had a problem with it coming loose.post-62394-1476612389,4875.jpg
