And to think that the Cav tweet was BS.

We spoke to some of his sponsors when we were there, and they told us that he was going to pull out. "one of the hardest decisions" PAH!

Ag and we all knew he wouldn't make it to Paris before it even started. .

Guys, who would you say is the new "Jens Voigt" in the modern peloton?

Tim Wellens?

De Gent for me...love watching that guy ride. Geez, he knows how to suffer for long periods of time!

André Cardoso tests positive for EPO[emoji15][emoji15]

Who the hell still uses EPO and thinks they are going to get away with it.

Suppose it won't be the week before the race starts without some sort of doping scandal. .sigh.

Zubeldia will replace him in the team..

Twitter has been golden regarding this EPO test. Phil Gaimom having lots to say, although they rode together for 3 years, surely must have known. Also Vaughters some good comments on it as came from cannondale.

As nobody's B sample has come back negative for EPO in ten years, we can assume doped. Question is, did he dope his whole career or just when he was selected to ride for a possible tour contender, Contador. At cannondale there was never as much pressure as your GC hopes was Talansky etc, so no need for an uber domestique.

His statement is so generic, it's horrific. No idea how EPO ended up in his system, not even a story about dodgy beef or a pharmacist.

I'm thinking more in terms of crazy break away attempts.....

Then you should not look further then Thomas de Gendt used to ride for my old team.

The guy doesn't warm up for time trials But has wone some and came high up in big tours

doesn't want massaged cos he likes the feel of acid in his legs

Refers to smarties as perfect recovery food.

Doesn't have to buy shirts co he collects jerseys for a hobby.

A bit very crazy but has some nice victories to his name and a grand tour podium after another banzhai raid on the Stelvio

Another the Gendt quote:

From Greg Henderson how does he select his brake away companions? The dude just rides a 500 watt for 5min on a hill and if you are still there you can be his companion for the day

Why don't they just test ample B as soon as sample A is confirmed as positive..this whole.. rider can request a B sample is doff..they going to request it in any case. . . Then the statements could read .."sorry dude we tested both samples. .pack your cleats away". It will save us having to read through these generic statements and think of all the eye rolling we could avoid.

Nope cos then the athlete could claim they messed up with both. Having sample B on hold means it can be supervised during testing and the athlete can't claim they set him up or messed up twice. And actually many shout B sample B sample but never really request the check and the smaller fish also often don't have a B sample tested as they all now what crap they put into their body

Protocol needs to be followed. I prefer calling the guy out on A sample, otherwise the dude would have done the tour.

Team DD  hmmmm ... don't think Cav is in shape so what's all his gang going to do?

Although  van, Venter, Steve could produce some results, not GC but stages. Steve smoked the UK Nationals: TT and Road Race. Maybe next year that young SA sprinter Ryan will feature, he was up there at the Giro.
