I used the cheapest option on crc,my delivery is to be picked up at the PO not to my door,it was the 6.50 pound one

You may get lucky - using that option means the parcel can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months to arrive.

So 6-8days is just how long it will take to get to za?

I have 2 packages 1 from the UK (10 October) and 1 from italy (17 October), UK parcel has just been scanned into the system and is currently at international mail.

So you are going to wait a considerable while longer!!  If you wanted something urgent used the DHL/Courier option

They never mentioned it would take so long, dam I'll just hope it'll be shorter

The shop selling has nothing to do with shipping overseas.  They put it into the postal system based on your choice and then it is a lottery.  Especially SAPO when it gets into the system and also how long customs take.

Perhaps you should have asked here how long items take before you chose the shipping option.

If I want something urgent or within a month it will be DHL.  If it is something that am not in a rush for like future stock or items for a build then it will come normal post

Dont worry, the post office duties rates is cheaper than DHL anyway, they never seem to calculate it properly and somtimes you get away without paying anything. That is if you are prepared to wait.

You are aware helmets carry a duty?

cycling shorts (classified as clothing): 45%

shoes, socks, bags: 40%

Gloves: 30%

Helmets (fullface or other): 25%

Knee pads and other protective equipment: 20%

plastic bottles: 15%

whole bicycles: 15%

Goggles: 0%

bike components: 0%

cycling electronics: 0%

It was explained in the other thread where you mentioned that you were buying the helmet(and gloves if I remember correctly)

35% if I remember right

14%+10%+25% but I could be wrong about that. I never really pay too much attention to those calculations.

Even with the duty, if the deal was good enough then its worth it.
