David Marshall Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 The ones that I have seen force you into complicated builds because of the hole spacing. I would go for a standard j bend 32 hole if they have one.

They have a nice left hub where the brake rotor attaches to a component that clips out of the hub, allowing you to remove the front wheel without having to take the caliber off. I"m either doing this option, or I might go Chriss King hubs front and rear. G

But then also really liking the CK's, thinking of even changing my Stage to CK's and then selling the Hope's I have on there (I already have some CK on the Stage, and a set of any bee's got a nice ring to it). Before you buy them ask your wheel builder if he is prepared to calculate the spoke lengths and to build them. It is a complex build, not one that I would take on without the manufacturer specifying the rim and spoke pattern to match. G I wouldn't touch those with a long stick. But I'm kinda old school and grumpy, so take it from whence it comes.
BaGearA Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Hubs are not really something someone will look at form an aesthetic point of view , regard ding hubs I will always go for reliability and features that make it a good hub i.e. bering size , prawl engagement ect ect. ( go for chris king ) Eg. Say you have a evil bike , the average mountain biker and expert are both going to look at the suspension linkage rather than the hub. That does not mean I don't like the Alchemist Hubs I mean they look like some thing a Terminator would have on his bike. Either way post some pics when the wheels are built please.
