Gerald, do you perhaps know if there is a feeding zone in the circuit area?

I'll find out, as I'm considering helping my team mates (if there is one.

Currently planned at the 60Km point. This means any distance doing 80Km or more will get their feed zone on the second lap of the circuit.

Below is a 125Km route/profile showing the feed zone on each lap.

Anyone doing +/-80Km will only have one feed zone.

So no feeding on laps 1 and 2.  Interesting.  Feeding from a car then.

So if you have no car (less than 4 riders in your team), them you have to link with another team or carry everything yourself.

So just to understand, are your feedings then at 40km, 60km, 80km and 100km?

A lap is 19km, so you pass the "feed zone" at 60Km, and then again at 79 and 98.

The Elites are supposed to be riding 180km, so it means feed zone at 60, 79, 98, 117, 136 and 155km

From 60km onwards it seems.

I've been speaking to the regional race commissioner.

He said the feed zone opens at the 60Km marker on each lap.

No feeding from the side of the road, so not sure how long the feed zone will be, or if feeding can only take place from 60Km onwards, until 20km to go in each distance.

I have not been asked to show my CSA licence in quite a few years, granted it's not a 'racing' licence ....

If it isn't a FULL RACING LICENCE, then it's MEMBERSHIP only. A few of the online entry websites are linked to their database, so they can verify your CSA No. to avoid paying for a DAY LICENCE.

All East Rand cycling clubs have been sent the information about the provincial champs - I received it at 12:24.

Struggling to access the mail server online, to attach the word doc that was attached. If anyone on the list can download it and attach, will help give a lot more detail.

Edit:

Biggest problem for those doing the road race - start times will only be communicated at registration on the Saturday. You can collect your race number on Sunday. Hopefully the list will be available before then.

Racetec are doing the timing.

Late entries can be done, but you need to email your details before 12:00 on 20/01/2017.
