Howzit going peoples?

Finaly my black eye and head wound (stitches out on Friday) is becoming a thing of the past.

Did a local hill climb challenge (bike) on Friday, interesting comparing to pro riders during the Tour De Suisse who aslo did the same climb, but as part od a much longer ride...

Nice one!

Still going strong. Got a bee in my bonnet and started running again after an 11-year absence (Cape Odyssey killed me in 2007), and actually enjoying it. Now to fit it in with the riding :)

Welcome to my world. What started out as a challenge has turned into a new way of life. Sunday mornings are now mostly running while Saturday is for riding.

We (about 10-12 club members) have now formed a running club in our cycle club, much to the dislike of a few others.

Today was close to packing it in.

Got to the gym, climbed on treadmill and set up to run 5Km. Pulled my long sleeve up to find I had left my Garmin, at home, on charge. Apple Watch was on bedside table, so had no way to record any HR data.

Carried on regardless, took a photo of the workout and was ready to call it a day. The photo was so I could add the 5.4Km to my shoe odometer tracking.

Got home, saw some tabs on the table (1000mg), took a fee, got onto the bike and rode for just over 30 mins. No cadence, power, nor speed... only HR.

It almost felt like a cheat ride, sitting on the small chain ring on the easiest resistance. Thanks goodness I’m just doing workouts with no structured training, other day 170 (yesterday) would’ve been my last. Now to finish the rest of those tabs/pills.

This winter thing has been tough, lots of late night walks, with work and other commitments. Feels like a bit of a cheat, but definitely more active than I was last winter, so that’s a plus. Had a cold (-8 degree) ride one morning, and on Sunday had a nice chilly swim, though I couldn’t log that one so followed it up with a ride!

My Zwift from this morning didn’t save to Strava so trying to find it .... Else I still have a treadmill walk coming up tonight!

This why I now download and check its uploaded straight away after connecting.... would be *** to find out the next day some activity did not upload to strava

178 days down... Sunday, lunch time, we're halfway there.

Lately while training I found myself wondering if I’ll do it next year again.... and if the min exercise time should be increased by 10 minutes....

I have wondered, mostly, whether I will ride on Jan 1, 2019. The rest would follow... or not.

My missus would feel that this is not a repeatable exercise. That could be a current state of affairs, with toddlers at the garage door at 20:15 last night wondering when daddy will tuck them in. Not that she actually vocalised this...

Anyhoo, back to the job at hand: Mid-term reports due this weekend?
