Hi gents

My wife has been riding maxix icon for some time and she really liked it,Then we switched over to Spez. tyres and she told me today she want to go back to Maxis, especially with Attekkwas coming up,We stey in George so we ride dry aswell as wet,

She rides a Scott hardtail and i would say her technical are good.

My question now is m i had a look at both CW and Evo bikes and theres a bigger choices than before,

What would you say would be the ultimate maxi choice?

Thx

Listen to this wise man!

But then again you might put them on wrong somehow and the blame will switch to you. But it's her choice, both good tyres anyway, some opinions will differ however

Meet her half way, put the Ikon on the rear and a Maxxis Ardent Race on the front, better grip on the front and less chance of crash which = unhappy wife = grumpy wife !!

@Tunariaan you have some wise advice above, but you are correct, there is more choice now than ever before on Maxxis (double XX) tyres. One thing that may be a good compromise for you to consider is the 2.35" Ikon, these haven't been in the SA market for too long, and are a great "introduction" to larger volume tyres while still maintaining the predictable, dependable and fast rolling Ikon tread pattern.
