Latest I leave is 6 but in summer I leave earlier(04h30/05h00) some days to do extra. Then I leave work at 15h15 and ride for as long as my wife and toddler will allow me to, which lately is straight home. I work at the airport.

I should get my daughter to join you on days the shifts work out.

Hey Hairy, the SS experience was rather nice at the end I must say.  Have to admit I am aware of one or two hidden muscles I didn't know existed before.  Should do it more often, but without the bloody wind I had yesterday on my way back.

excellent .... I found that riding into the wind with a SS you are better off riding faster and keeping a consistent pace....with gears you are usually tempted to gear down and spin more.

and we know a little about riding in the wind in CT

I will be hitting the 6k mark of total distance for the year (all cycling and not just commuting) on my way home but I will surely sweat for it.  One heck of a wind that came up and it is only going to get worse

LOL I don't drink(Flame suit on but I am used to the abuse from friends about not drinking) so that is wasted on me. Enjoy the beers, hope they icy cold.

The riders in our group who also do not drink buy Ginger Beer from the Woolies next door to where we get our beers :)

So I am not the only oke that doesn't drink .  I won't lie, I do get jealous hearing stories of cracking open cold beers and I stand there with a coke. No good story started with "hold my coke"  :D

Got a bonus commute in today

Going to Waterval boven this weekend and after the maths was done, it's faster cycling home, shower, load bikes and then leave, than packing the Jimny, bring it to the office, and then get stuck in Sandton peak hour traffic.

Looked a bit wet earlier but right now looks like it will be a gorgeous ride home - pity I have to get home quickest route and can't detour along the Spruit today.

I am about to leave the airport now and it has cleared up slightly but still looks a bit dodge out this way. Enjoy the weekend away.

that sucks .........

on a lighter note

CT is rocking some great weather and if I remember to log all my rides, and endo does not drop me this week, I should hit 6K by Beer Friday!

We have had the most beautifull Autumn and stunning cycling scenes in golden landscapes.  I might get to commute tommorow and then also  Wednesday and Thursday.  Friday is still uncertain.  If my spares for the MTB brakes come in time I might still do Friday as well.  Next week I have leave on Monday and then we have two public holidays in a row and then rain and possible snow.  Time will tell.
