Let's just say it wasn't a good performer in the poll. Will post pics when she's all built up.

I'm pretty pissed though. I didn't receive my order of 'Big Bag of Skills'. Guess I'll have to start a thread about that. :whistling:

And here she is in all her glory. Not a great pic, I know.

Did the initial assembly last night, set-up the cockpit to my liking, but still need to sort out the bar roll.

I settled on the 20" (large) and had to slam the dropper to reach the pedals, but it seems to be a good fit. Still need to do a shakedown ride to be sure.

On tonight's agenda is setting up the suspension and doing the tubeless conversion.

Ive Ridden a canyon strive enough to get the gist of it, and i own a swoop 170, cant say much about the YT

The canyon gets lighter and more agile as you go faster, whereas the radon gets more planted and secure, the back end of the canyon has better small bump sensitivity (DB inline) but the radon has more support (Monarch plus)

the canyon genuinely climbs like gravity had a power failure, the radon climbs well, but doesnt have the aggressive acceleration of the canyon, put the shock in pedal mode and it works pretty well

I think they are very different bikes, even though on the face of it they look very similar, and for the life of my i cant see the difference between the rear linkages, it looks like they were designed by the same dude on the same desk. their attitude's are completely different and what ive learnt riding both is that its about which one suits your riding, i love my radon, and id take it over an equally priced strive, but my riding syle is particularly neanderthilic, a more precise rider might prefer a strive

Haaaaaaaawwwwwwwt! So darn hot. you'll need to throw out a build list for the nerds and then a ride report.

Congrats, you must be super amped to roll that bad boy into a trail. Where is top of the list for the first ride?

Wow, so much sexy that raw Al.

So is your saddle height optimal or just reaching now? That a 150mm dropper?
125mm droppers is where my limit. Not sure why seat tubes aren't made shorter, especially on medium sized frames.

Lol. Great comparison, Adam. And yeah, now you can tell what a difference even a minute change in linkage parameters makes to the performance of a bike.

Yeah, I know. It's the combination of seat tube length and seat tube kink. Even if the seat tube was shorter, if there's a kink in it where the rocker mounts, you'll not be able to slam it

First ride will probaly be my local trails, as it's the best measure to get a feel of the bike. I'm hoping it won't rain (as predicted), as I really don't want the first ride to be a total slopfest.

It's a 150mm dropper. Hard to say if its optimal. Will take it for a spin tonight.

If push comes to shove, I'll look into a 165mm crankset, as it's currently 170mm. Hoping it won't be necessary. Either way, I won't be doing long distances with her, so not too fussed.
