I am a month in waiting since my parcel arrived in SA and almost 6 weeks since was shipped

 

1 In transit 2017-06-13 10:47 JHB INT MAIL CENTRE (HUB)  

2 To Customs 2017-05-30 11:56 JHB INT MAIL CENTRE (HUB)  

3 Incomming International 2017-05-19 10:40 JHB INT MAIL CENTRE (HUB)

Well your latest update at least reflects that it's on it's way to you now. Two weeks to get through customs it seems, bleak!

 

Edit: It might already be at your local PO. Do you have a local tracking number?

I do have the local tracking number that is how I am able to track it online to get the info I posted... and there is nothing at the local PO... I wait patiently...

It left California on April 28. Customs have acknowledged that they have it, however I'm now getting concerned that someone at customs are actually now wearing my swanky new sunglasses to impress his girl, instead of me doing it.

 

However, as per Shaper's log it took his thing two weeks to clear customs. So I wait.

From what I've heard/read you can no longer collect directly from JIMC? Not sure if it is indeed true.

Yup this is true. I'm in CPT, asked a JHB friend to go to JIMC to see if he could figure things out for me, there are signs up everywhere saying the facility is closed to the public all mail will be forwarded to the local mail centres in due course.

A colleague of mine ordered from CRC twice in June, both were delivered in 14 days, maybe there's hope.

 I've done the CRC order a few times, but with DHL direct.. Longest time I waited was 6 days over a weekend and my last shipment was only 36 hours. 

 

Unfortunately the shipment held up in JIMC came from a supplier who did not offer any service but post.

Was mentioned on another thread not so long ago that you are now not allowed to do that... whereas previously you could go to JIMC and collect in person

This is after Precious on the other end of JIMCwhatwhatemail told me it has left customs and is en-route. Sigh.
