SAPO are so useless. Almost all of their websites are broken.

Yeah I saw this morning. pisses me off. I will never buy anything again and not courier it Via DHL.

my tracking updated to "The shipment is being prepared for delivery in the delivery depot, the shipment is being delivered to the recipient"

 

EDIT: SAPO still have no record of the item in their system

I think a single public holiday puts the whole SAPO in a state of confusion with delays left right and center.

i doubt the item is coming thru SAPO, it seems like it will be delivered here today (touch wood)

Shipping used was DHL Paket (from Germany)

I don't know, I'm also waiting for two parcels from DHL Paket. (Mine doesn't even show its in SA, although it was shipped 12 June)

 

Let me know if you get some info.

Mine took roughly a week to "appear" in SA after it shipped from Germany.

I'm very surprised that i can track the item in SA, crossing all my fingers that it'll be delivered today! will fill you in

i have had parcel shipped on the 15th May - the global track and trace site still shows that it's on route? Followed up with the shipper who has advised it's in the possession of SA post now?

Yes (5x), Sure hope a SAPO employee doesn't get his paws on it.

You pay R573 shipping and then they send it with normal post

just received my parcel!

 

used DHL Paket (From Germany) got delivered to my door by EMS

 

paid R300 in duties/taxes ect ect

 

edit: it took 13 working days from postage to delivery

I received this response when I sent them (SAPO) a query today:

 

Thank you for your email.  There is a big backlog at the international sorting centre, and I suspect your items are caught up in it.  This means they are waiting to be scanned into our mail centre.

 

We have transferred 40 people from other mail centres to help out, so the backlog should be cleared soon.

I really hope they clear the backlog because my parcel has been "missing" for 5 weeks

Where is your parcel coming from, and when did it leave?

 

At least your seems to be scanned in
