So got klapped R1400 duty on a package worth $150Aus WTF. That's 100% My wife went to collect and didn't ask questions.

I genuinely hate SA customs so much! I pay enough tax as is. Over it.

We don't hate you at all...   :whistling:

Told you to use the local site with your international tracking number... it will tell you exactly where it is

i have been trying this, on monday 12/06/17 my parcel "arrived in the country" so it had to be scanned in, right?

tuesday 13/06/17 my item cleared customs and is en route to the delivery depot

so my item has definitely been scanned on SA shores, yet my tracking number  EK0xxxxxxxxDE does not show anywhere

see attached tracking from DHL website

Well then it hasn't been picked up by customs yet. It's been prepared for customs, not processed by customs.

I think you should just take a chill pill, it will arrive Monday/Tuesday most likely. (Tomorrows Public holiday wont help either)

My local postmaster told me that the whole tracking system in sa is on the blink at the moment.

Usually I just put the international tracking number into the local tracking system and it works fine but recently I have been getting parcels at my po and the tracking still shows no data.

See, the think you think its cute. Taxing me R1450 on a R1400 a cycling shirt.

Thought it must have been some fancy shirt  ^_^

Surely you new when buying that you'd be in for 40% duties and the 15.4% VAT buildup?

Not sure how the hell they got to 100% though, someone spyker'd you.

Dear Mods, please don't delete this post too.

@Cav, happy to pay that as thats the rules. But seems these rules only work one way. WE must pay our taxes and duties regardless of how crap the service is. Stuff that, no more.

As a rule, when it hits JIMC stuff starts to go pear shaped.

But you'll get it soon no doubt.

In the future always insist in DHL courier. (I know you thought DHL post was the same at first)
