Vittoria Airliner and Cushcore seems to get great reviews

haven't used either as R3.5k is rather steep for two special pool noodles

Cush core is about half that... still dam expensive, but at least not 3,5k

Nsquaed website says R1185 for S and M

Cushcore out of stock but listed prices around R2600 for a set

I was under the impression that cushcore isn't available in SA anymore?

Sho sho, I paid R1900 for a set of Cush Core not too long ago. But I guess the price has gone up seeing as Trailtech no longer bring it into the coountry.

Any new opinions on using inserts? Seems most don't like them on the front.

Planning on a set of replacement rims and thinking about running a Foamo in the rear only, as between Tokai trails and my riding, I'm a little hard on the rear at times and will likely run cheaper then replacing rims in the long run.

I've been using a Foamo in the rear only. I didn't notice much change to the bike or the way it handles, but I'm dead sure it's saved me from some nasties.

I'm not graceful at all and put some big dents in the rear rim, but haven't added to the collection since adding the Foamo. Deffo would buy and install again, wish I did earlier.

Foamo didn't work for me. It shifted around a lot.

Hence I looked at the other options. It was way cheaper to chat to a ballerina and get some tips on being lighter on the feet to float over the rocks.

May the 4th be with you

So with the price and availability of something like Cushcore, I could just keep a couple spare rims in the garage. Sounding like Foamo is not a very popular option.

You can now order directly from Cushcore, shipping is 20dollars to SA, but then it probably comes via Postoffice, so bargain a a month to 3 for delivery.

At least now you can order for single wheel which helps if you run one only on rear wheel or if you run different wheel sizes
