Freehub is not too loud like some cheapie hubs.If its an upgrade then buy something where you are going to feel a notable difference. wha type of riding do you do mostly ? Do you want a deep section/aero wheel or a lighter climbing wheel ? There's soo much on offer, but just don't buy something on the lower end of the scale as you wont find much improvement from the standard wheels.
HdB Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 My AC Argent freehub sound is maybe slightly more quiet than on my Campagnolo Ventos (2005-ish model), but also a slightly different pitch?The hubs roll very nicely. They are also a lot lighter than the Ventos, but not much lighter than the Ksyriums they replaced as my race wheels. I can't speak for the more expensive Campag wheels, or newer, but my experience with mine are that they are very tough. Had a fall in a race quite a few years ago, at around 50km/h, and even with a few slightly bent spokes they were barely out of true.

The decals are quite large and provide eye catching contrast. If you're open to spending an extra 1,5k or so, the Zondas would be a very good option too. Just as reliable as the sciroccos, lighter and you have the option to go tubeless.In summary: Campy all the way...- especially with the Campy group!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cippo Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 First make sure you can find an AC freebody for Campy. The Zonda's are lighter than the Scirocco's. I would buy the Campy. The 2013 Mavic are older so internal rim width won't be suited to 25mm tyres.

bertusras Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I also have a set of AC Argent Tubeless, and they are great. Hub sounds like one of my fly-fishing reels, quite different than some of the louder hubs out there.
