Really good units, I got the 530 for about R1800 all in from Lord Gun but the local agents also had a special offer on recently that made them a steal. It's for everything you need and none of the stuff you think you need but actually don't.

I've had the Bryton Rider 40 for years and upgraded to the 530 last year October. It's a brilliant unit, especially at that price. Works like a charm and syncs effortlessly. It's everything you need in a GPS unit.

Got a 330.

Does everything I need it to. Shows all sorts of info including HR and Cadence (Sensors not sold with the device)

It even shows stuff like heading & temp. For the life of me I can't figure out the massive price differential between the Brytons & Garmins.

There are 2 problems tho.

1. The availability of mounts. The shops only seem to stock mounts for Garmins. But you can order direct.

2. The device under reads ITO elevation & distance. That or race organizers are liars. I suspect it's the 2nd one.

You could also look at the new Lezyne Super GPS? (no silver bezel, has "ENHANCED" on the front).

Doesn't have the same battery life as the 530/330, but appears to have pretty much all the same features, plus some cool features in their app (including Strava segments if you are so inclined). Price seems roughly the same as the 530.

I've currently got an old Bryton Rider 20, but their recent leap to a work-in-progress new website with a quarter of the features of the old one, and the rather work-in-progress new app, has me considering other options.

The tracking feature will also give my wife some extra peace of mind.

Just for interests sake, Bryton and Garmin use almost identical quarter turn mounting systems. I have an old Bryton Rider 40 on an out front mount from Aliexpress, made for Garmin head units. Never had a problem, fits nice and snug. +1 for Bryton

Have a Bryton 530 for 2years, battery seem to last 8hours and all power saving settings ticked. Any reason. Use a powerbank to assist for endurance rides.
