thisismyotherbike Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Any indication that they are actually enforcing the rules around parking in the cycle lane? It seems Mr Chip and Flower Warehouse are serial offenders, surely if they have been reported multiple times and have actually received multiple fines they would have changed their behavior by now?

Pure Savage Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 So city of Cape Town removed the cycle lane in Woodstock after my complaint, now say it will be back at some point. Can someone shed light on how they going to get 2 lanes of parking, 2 car lanes and 2 bike lanes. It does not work as the moment... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

thisismyotherbike Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Wait so there is a project to improve the entire situation? Did they provide any kind of timeline? edit: spelling
Pure Savage Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 Wait so there is a project to improve the entire situation? Did they provide any kind of timeline? edit: spelling Nope, they have done this a bit arsed-about-face. Should have a press release saying, we have done the research etc and have seen the issues with the current situation. This is our plan, we have contacted X,Y,Z cyclist activists to get the cyclists input and have come up with a solution. This is how we plan to roll out and will be done from this date to this date. Lanes removed and then the new project rolled out. Nope- Instead just remove the lane, good luck to the okes.
Wannabe Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Went past Old Biscuit Mill on Saturday. The Taxis were parked nose to tail in the "Bike Lane" as far as you can see, and on both sides of the road.We took our chances and played Dodgems with the cars.
Pure Savage Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 Should still report using the city tracker, just so the city knows.
Pure Savage Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 Sasko were really good when I tweeted them, I still see a dude run out and shout at the trucks if not in loading zone.
