Beware of SRAM Eagle XX1 Gold

In Nov 2016 purchased for my son a complete group set- SRAM Eagle XX1 Gold including crank set,

Already back then SRAM struggled to supply the crank,

Now replaced the chain, BUT ALSO NEED TO REPLACE THE CHAIN RING,

SRAM cannot supply the gold chain ring - they just don't have stock…...

So have a new chain, with an old chain ring, that chain will go bust soon-Thank you SRAM,

Beware of SRAM, they do not carry stock.

Let me say we love the Eagle XX1 Gold, but cannot get parts…...

It's not the brand.

What a stunning brand.

It's the distributors or stockists that is not serving well. Just saying.

Beware of Sram - you did not just say this, wow - get ready for a Shitstorm !!

I love my Sram 1x 11 Setup !!

Ahhh - I see you did a quick edit !!

There is a thread somewhere on the hub where the guys discussed chainrings and 1x11 vs 1x12 compatibility. If I remember correctly the 11Speed chainring works on the 12speed system. Maybe have a look at a aftermarket option....

Ai......our local distributor (guess who) wants to be the only Sram supplier in SA ( and prevent almost all online / offshore competition to supply Sram to SA),but yet dont carry stock. Shame on them.

1/11 and 1/12 chain rings are compatible , there are literally multiple solutions to a very simple issue . The black XO chain ring also works so do all the 11 speed aftermarket versions .

Negotiations between the "brand" and the distributors leads to the fact that we only have one distributor to SA...so not only the distributor to blame in my opinion.

I've just about purged all our bikes of sram compnets (thats 7 bikes) since i cant get decent replacement (or competitively priced) parts locally and can't even buy online. I hope my forks last until SRAM reconsiders their policies

having to replace a chainring after 5 months; I thought the biggest concern was teaching your son that showing off the gold ring is mucho importando in life.

Thus, I'd appeal to the mothership as well as the local distributors ⚠️

What ring do you want?

I have just checked the system, 38T, 36T, 34T, 32T and 30T are all in stock in X-Sync in direct mount and 104BCD except 32T in 104BCD.
