Buddy of mine needs to know witch of the two (Novatec or Stans) are the better hub in general.

Do not know the models, just in general.

Thanks

I have no experience with Stan's hubs. But I can say Novatec hubs are seriously good - I have ridden many over the years incl. the Funn hubs (which are Novatec internals). They roll fast and smooth and do not require any proprietary parts which is always good. Novatec generally also provide excellent value for money.

Stans hubs run on tiny bearings which don't last long. If you're good at DIY bearing replacements, go for it.

Otherwise Novatec if those are the only two options.

If he's looking for something in the same price bracket, have a look at Bitex. 120 point engagement and pretty bombroof in our experience - 2 years of pretty heavy abuse and no issues so far.
