A few kms from the Klipheuwel plains.

Supporting the brave ones.

22 degrees, fortunately not too hot.

35km/h or so headwind, gusts in excess of 50.

Seemed like it was a permanent gust. At least that what my legs are telling me

Wind is pumping again today. Gonna make things interesting out there.

It was quite a slog coming back from Riebeek Kasteel

(that's the polite version without all the crying and swearing)

Great DC team training though

Oh, and just before the left turn to Hermon, we passed a post crash cleanup operation. Hope the rider/s weren't badly hurt and heal up quickly

Im hopefully going to finish this as one of Bretts "Pilot fishes" on the event. He is riding for a charity with a buggy on the back. If you pass us, lend a push please or make a small donation to help the people who need help.

I don't think the wind was as bad as 2013? Anyone else that can weigh in on this? I did it 2 minutes faster than in 2013 and an hour slower than last year.

What's the story with the dude that was loaded into the ambulance just before the Hermon turn off?

Congratz, Pure Savage, on that hard earned 3rd ????

Shot Dale!! Was a bit of a mare from our side. Punctures, illness, puncture, crash avoiding a cape cobra.

Was fun racing with mates, even though I punctured at 15km
