My weekend changed just now, so i will be there tomorrow. Last time I was there it was raining so much that we had to do loops. I hope this will be the case again, we need the rain!

Unfortunately for us no rain tomorrow, but fortunate for the cyclists! Looking forward to having you here.

It's going to be a beautiful day tomorrow. We are ready and waiting for all the cyclists. If you haven't entered we are taking late entries tomorrow..so come along and have some fun. Registration will be open from 7:00 am.

 

Bring your families and friends along as there will be a Farmer's market with lots of goodies to eat and crafts to buy. MOuntain Ridge Wine Cellar will be open for wine tasting and sales.

Stunning route. I love real rocky mtb routes and this one is. Hopefully I can do this again.

Friendly people, amazing scenery and such a perfect day. The one rocky downhill section had me warming up my brake rotors to a new pb  All in all I have to say I loved the route and will definitely be back next year!

Well done Gayle. Excellent event. Like the others said, great route, great waterpoints, friendly people, nice vibe at the racing village. Will be back next year.

For the 60km race, i got a total of 1019m gain on my garmin. One of my mates got over 1400m with his tomtom and another got over 1200m with strava and another got 1118m with a garmin. i know it varies and there is no right or wrong but i am rather keen to hear what elev gain others got for this event and how was it measured i.e. garmin/strava/tom tom........

I got 992 on my Garmin, my guesstimate would be around 1000/1100 meters climbing. 1400 sounds a bit much

Yep, last year on the same route I only recorded with Sports Tracker running on a Lumia 720 and imported the GPX to Strava, both apps reporting 1100-ish ascent.

I got 1100 on endomondo, but 1300 on strava
