this is the best 200km audax in gauteng. nice route and 2000m climb.

The one from benoni had about 1700 metres of climb and a bit of wind coming back, nice day out but I battled a bit.

No, it starts at the Northcliff Country Club, not Cycles. This is an official Audax.

 

Lido Audax is taking place end of August, 20th I think. I'll be there too!

Correct. There is an impromptu, unofficial one this coming Saturday starting at 00:01, >300km.

We averaged about 28 km/h the only part I did not enjoy was coming back on Hendrik Potgieter road.
