Does 29x3.0 count? If so, then yes, I ride one (Trek Stache). Actually considering giving a rigid for a try too (less weight, more simplicity), to make it even closer to the traditional fat bikes.

Bought the Stache as I wanted more grip and more comfort than a standard 29er, but didn't want the added fuss and maintenance of a dual sus bike. Also bought it because its different, and seeing as almost every review mentioned that its fun, seemed to suit me.

That's a cool bike. I also almost went for one. I like plus bikes in general.

I borrowed a mates one and took it for a session at Hoogekraal the other day. It was a Canyon all carbon thing and was great fun on those trails. Dealt well with Cobra and the rest and surprisingly didn't get too over whelmed doing the enduro line, Die Kloof at Contermanskloof. I've ridden a couple before and usually they are let down by flea frames, noodle rims and dodgy brakes and can't deal with anything more than gravel tracks. This one was actually a sessionable bike.

I wouldn't go buy one new but if I saw one pop up on gumtree or at a bargain on the ads here I'd seriously think about it. Just like any 'different bike' it makes you think about your riding in another way, lets you find new lines on old trails and different skills to work on.
