Looking into a marzo 380t.

As everyone claims they're dead

even tho they where are euro bike with new forks

the review of it is dam positive and i can pick a new one up for 4k on ebay

Anyone here have experience with the new Marzocchi forks?

My main concern is  it going to last like my 09 bomber and how fast do they blow through seals and eat stanchions like the fox 40s RC2

I just want something to replace the fox 40s rc2 sitting on my desk

cant afford to replace seals every 5 weeks, and marzos are great low maintenance forks

The fork seems to have tons of high end and low end compression rebound settings ETC

and i like Tinkering and getting it diald

So opinions if it would we worth buying a marzocchi thats new or not

and general experience with them new ones quality and performance

Thanks

One word - backup.

There is none.

Get a Boxxer or a 40 and be done, or be ready to wait forever for spares if you can get them at all.

The Droo hath spoken.

I would listen to him, if he says its a problem getting parts then you are probably better off going mainstream.

bike im getting has a rc2c coil.

I did quite like it, it was plush as butter and setup at 35% sag

ONE PROBLEM

it doesn't take massive overshoots and abuse i tend to throw at my 40s and that eat it

ill just have to chill out then

I think most equipment can handle some abuse but at some point you need to to be more in control.

Nothing is ever 100% bomb proof.

So you ride harder that Dan Atherton, Gee Atherton, Kaos Seagrave, Bernard Kerr and Graeme Mudd at Hardline this past weekend?

Wow!

They get their forks rebuilt like every few rides so that's A bit of A stretch

It's hard to judge the quality of A new product as it has not been out long enough to be ridden hard over long periods of time.

As droo says if you can't get support or spares what's the point ?

Hucking to flat isn't going to wear stanchions like you describe. There's nothing wrong with a 40. It's a great fork. Especially the coil version that you have.

Going to a boxxer you're going to lose a lot of small bump sensitivity. Going from a 40 to a boxxer is a downgrade. For sure.

Yea but i just cant afford to change seals every 100hours

Ive not been able to use my canyon for 2 months because the fork is due for new ones

And i ride 20 hours a week minimum so its not suitable for me...

Do really like my 40s tho,
