Fox3 Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Also doing it.... 1st time round but battling with knee issues which is affecting training...Hey CtnSmith how's the knee are you feeling good? LeoKnight how did the Appleblossoms go? Are you feeling more confident?
CtnSmith Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 Hi Fox... Still slight issues with the knees but not as bad and only feeling them 45km into last ride... Thanks for your concern. See you guys on Monday
dev null Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 I also going to have a knee issue to nurse through the 3 days. Lucky it does not hurt too much when I cycle, only when I walk. That portage is going to be eina on the knee. Today's walk from the Durbie Dash Road finish back to the school told me so. I better get some of that blue stuff. Moral of the story; stay on the bike for as much as I can. BTW, if you are doing the Ride, come and say hello when you see a MAMIL walking hinke pink. I will be seen in the company of a red-head female with a sparkling, competitive personality.
Wannabe Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 How did day two go, Guys and Gals? How did the singletrack ride?
LeoKnight Posted October 28, 2017 Author Posted October 28, 2017 Hey CtnSmith how's the knee are you feeling good? LeoKnight how did the Appleblossoms go? Are you feeling more confident?Yeah feeling better, that race was awesome and was still very comfortable to about 55. But that was with the joys of wind and water which added another dimension. So looking forward to Monday just hoping to enjoy the race and atmosphere to the brink

Always wondered how I can become one. But you okes are fit!

But you okes are fit! I have put on 2.5kgs the last month. Now I don't know if that is all added muscle from the training, or added boep from the carbo loading. From 83kg to 85.5kg.

From 83kg to 85.5kg. Light weight! Depending on how the wind blows (or so it seems) I am anything between 108-113...lately more ay 113!
Pure Savage Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 Our boys managed to take the win on the stage today, they love the single track a lot more than the flat out climbing! Love oli muniks following of race on twitter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Delarey Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 Day 2 was awesome today. A lot of new single track. Add the heat and the extra few km they added it was definitely tougher than previous years. I really feel for the Ride riders in the heat on Monday!

dev null Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 It could have been worse. It could have been heat and a pumping SE. On the udder hand, the Race guys are in for a wet one it seems.
Delarey Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 On the upside I can add that after completing 5 W2W it is deffinately the tough days you remember most and make for the best stories. 3 years ago the Race had 40+ degrees on day 1 and 2 years ago the Adventure had a miserable last day with rain and wind. I still talk way more about those 2 days than any of the perfect weather days
