Ojo Gaviria may be in trouble for the headbutt on Greipel..not once but twice

Really like Gaviria but I think he may be in trouble here. Not that he was able to make much impression on the rather solid Greipel it wasn’t for a lack of trying.

What penalties have been handed out for such offenses in the past?

Wasn't someone thrown out of a Grand Tour in the past for such behavior?

Renshaw was thrown out if I remember correctly. Back in the HTC days. I hope it doesn’t come to that.

Cavendish was well positioned, never followed through with any real anger in the sprint.

Think it is time for the team to have a real honest discussion and revise the plan for week 2 and 3.

In one of the Eurosport interviews yesterday he said he just can’t match the top guys speed when they at full tilt

But was also funny to see how the DDD riders were pulling then all of a sudden looking around for Cav. ????????

Cav reckon his chances was better hitching a ride with Sagan ????

Sprinting is for hard men. Nothing untoward in that sprint. Greipel slightly changed his line, and Gaviria nodded him with his head, letting him know he was beside him. Gaviria never took his hands of the handlebars, which is viewed as intent, and it wasn't a head but either. Nothing should happen.

The problem has always been consistency with penalties and these incidents. More specifically the total lock thereof.

Yep..

The first headbutt okay that was leaning in.. the second was deliberate..and stupid

But how solid is Greipel..

The Renshaw incident was years ago but if memory serves me it was far more dangerous and aggressive than this incident. I hope we just move on.

Ja that was a bad one really bad.. if i recall he went out to headbutt the guy.

But lets be honest if it was Buhouni he would've been relegated to last of not kicked out.

1,2,3,4 great. Can we just stop the competition before the mountains start

Not so fast young man

. Reports coming in both Greipel and Gaviria have been relegated to last

Going full Bjarne Riis is how I think of it. Why is Kittel so angry anyway? He just looks out of shape to me. Has the speed in a sprint but first you have to be there.
