Starting to get quite excited for the tour.

GC should be a great battle; Froome,Porte, Bardet, Uran,Nibali,Quintana,Landa,Tom)

(Froome and Dumoulin will fade in week 3 IMO)

I would love a Porte,Uran,Bardet podium. (If Porte crashes out insert Quintana)

The fight for the sprint stages will actually also be quite enticing. (Go Dylan!)

Do we have a list of South African riders in the Tour yet?

Regardless of whatever teams they are in, it's good to spot them.

I must agree...would be great to see a 3 or 4 man battle for the GC

Stage 20 with the ITT will have a significant effect on the previous 19 stages.

The guys that battle with the ITT would need 2 or 3 minutes (maybe more) advantage over Tom, and CF if they want to take the Yellow to Paris...especially with the Profile of stage 20 - NOT GOING TO BE AN EASY DAY ON THE SADDLE...should be a real epic day to keep us Glued to the screens

TdF has become such a joke maybe the riders could wear something like this to keep the party going  :whistling:

That reminds me...was BMC that had that g-string on their bibs last year ..no wonder they have sponsorship issues.

I think he may go find greener pastures like Landa... I am just not sure that he is very likable either so I think I will also be finding other pastures to support once Froome does relinquish the top spot to him.

I donno I kind of like Thomas.. i think he will do really well at another team where I can't even imagine Froome riding for another team..hope Thomas finds a new home, he should at least try and see if he can really go for the GC at a GT..

That is of course if he is willing to take a pay cut..

I think that is exactly why Sky is so strong - they buy the best talent and then make it really hard to make a move since the riders would possibly not be paid as much when they do move.

Suppose it can been seen as protecting their investments...

If Thomas thought he could beat Froome in another team he would have left already. Many have, Nieve, Landa etc.

Nothing is keeping them at Sky, if you have the legs, the pay is not a factor. you will have people drapping you in ski goggles and cooking equipment in no time at all!

You also then need to perform, look at Mr Porte. Its all good and well getting a salary, but the propery money is endorsements etc.

It's not just the legs..we've seen all of those riders you have mentioned and more drag Froome around France/Spain, it is the support structure that is the difference...froome himself has done his share of dragging his leader around.

I'm expecting a solid performance from G this tour. Let's see . . .

I would not mind that actually I would even go so far as to say I hope he out performs Froome..for no other reason that I like him[emoji39]
