Unfortunately no footage (it’ll just show me falling off a bike on my own). Hmmmm...

Thanks for all the kind words. They are really appreciated as I type this from my hospital bed.

Doctor: seen.

Physio: seen.

Neurologist: seen.

Occupational therapist: soon.

Operation to drain the fluid from the haematoma at 1630.

Two more weeks off work: yes please!

I’ll let you know how it goes soon.

I suffered a bad concussion last year, and I still have "moments" every now and then. A brain injury is not a trivial matter, and you should carefully consider riding before you are well over the initial confusion. I still struggle to even wear a buff around my head, as the increased pressure causes me to feel disorientated. Listen to your neurosurgeon, he knows what he's talking about, and rather ease back into the saddle. Also, screens and books are not going to help so early after your fall. I also do not remember much from the fall, and this is a sign of a rather hard knock, so again, take it easy.

Drainage operation was successful. Much lower pain than previously.

“Apparently” (according to my Doc) I’ll have to wait a while before getting back on the bike.

Flippin’ medical professionals what do they know?
