“It’s a unique situation for me, having won the Tour and Vuelta and now having the opportunity to go to the Giro and attempt to win a third consecutive Grand Tour... It’s really exciting to be able to take on a new challenge, to do something that perhaps people wouldn’t expect and to mix it up."

I am sure we will see him a lot on Suikerbosrand this holiday season. Early training schedule.

Mmm he must be mindful....teams may use the Giro as an opportunity to exhaust him ahead of the TDF..just like Astana did with Bert a few years ago.

I cannot believe Sky are risking the Tour. Fantastic for the rest of us though.

Wouldn’t surprise me now to see every other team throw everything at the Tour.

It is his regular off-season training spot.

I'll keep an eye out. Saw the DD Train and EBH a few times last year. What are your thoughts on Big Tom's chances of repeating?

Zoncolan with 22% is gonna hurt a big lad like him.

I'm thinking about doing a repeat of Italy myself for next year. Grappa tho in July.
