So Andre, did you enjoy the nice cold welcome back to the commuting this morning?

Luckily I have a warm rain jacket which I wore this morning to keep me cosy.

Although my HR is quite high and I will definitely need to work on my fitness levels again.

HR is always very high on your first commute after a long break from the bike.  That is normal.  Should get better on your next ride already.  Well that is what happens to me always.  My first commute I normally die a few deaths on the first ride.

The guys are all putting up quite a good show and summer is still comming for you guys.

I have had a good innings the last couple of weeks.  Today I managed for the first time ever to do 5 commuting days in a week for three weeks in a row.  Next week we have another public holiday so it will again be a 4 day commute again :(

No commute this morning - snapped my gear cable yesterday.

My fault for not checking the wear and tear on it.

On the bright side, I should be up and running by tonight hopefully.

Definitely getting lighter earlier here in the Cape but still cold.

Happy commuting guys!

Snapped a gear cable early this year halfway through my commute to work deactivating my rear derailer.  One of those "get strong" rides at the end.  One should never underestimate the amount of wear commuting bikes go through.  In winter I overall all cables in a winter service replacing all regardless of condition.

Here I am noticing that the sun is taking longer to stick its head out.  I will have to hunt for the front bike light soon.

On the bright side, my neighbour mentioned this morning that he read in a paper yesterday that this sunny dry weather might even continue well into October.  I hope so but the temps still dropped to 10 on my commute this morning.  Time will tell.

Seems like I am going to be hit by a thunderstorm on my way home again.  At least this time I am on my MTB.  Last week Thursday I got soaked properly (as in the Bavarian drought got broken before me eyes ;) ) on my way home.

The encircled read part is where i will be commuting and the arrow shows the direction of the systems.  I see it comes from Swissvan.  Thanks man :(

Good luck.

I presume you have the necessary gear for the rain?

You mean a MTB ;)  Other than that yes I have a rain coat for the upper body and covers for the shoes but if it comes down like last week it is pretty pointless to resist.  You will get soaked.  At least the cover for the backpack does its job very well.  So the backpack and everything in it is safe.

#^&$%&* ....I need to put Endo on .... and need to wake up a little !

Have you now missed two exercises - both this morning and yesterday morning?

I am happy if you input manually (if possible).

I am also okay with the manual input.  Get yourself a Garmin Hairy.
