If the top 10 can manage to get another 333km each from now to the end of the year we should hit the 80k mark.  That should not be a problem for us :)

I am 16th but should easily hit the 333 target by the end of the year.

Legs are simply not there at the moment.  Was all dressed up for my commute when all of a sudden I decided to take the train :(

LOL What he's not saying.

It's -10 degrees, Sleet coming in sideways, a couple trees down, visibility is 5m. (and he still got dressed for his commute)

I think he just chickened out :P

Managed to pass my mileage and elevation from last year this morning.

Sitting on 8051km and 89 900m elevation. And will definitely be able to do an additional 600km by the 14th December. :)

Congrats.

I need to do another 350 km.  Does not have to be commuting miles but about 350 km short of crossing the 10K mark for the year.  Will have to take the commutes as they come.  The weather predictions change by the hour at the moment.

Did not commute today as I am getting visitors who I will be meeting at the Airport at lunch time.  A friend will be visiting from Australia.  He does however want to do a bike ride with me some time over the weekend.  Not sure if he is kitted out for the cold.  Will wait and see.

You going on leave on the 14th of December Samson99?

Yes sir. Last work commute is 14 December. So sadly won't be able to catch you in the lead, Bats. But there is always next year. :)

My cycle total for the year is currently 10 666.7km and 129 599m for the year.

Finally managed to clock a few miles again.  First time in two weeks.  Man I missed my commuting (and lost fitness in two weak  ).  Maybe get a chance tommorow again.

you guys are clocking up some serious mileage.

I'm struggling to get to 2000km for the year. At my current rate I'll be 100km short so will need to put in some effort on the public holidays.

This is what I like about the challange.  Because we are in general so different in our commutes (distance from work) it is actually not a fair playing field in general but quickly smaller challanges develop among us in the challange that ends up with you pushing yourself to commute more, which is nice.  I like to keep an eye on the overall statistics.  We have collected 80 000 km which is twice around the earth in one year.  Not bad me thinks.
