I hope van der Poel steps up on the Xc scene. He faded quickly as the races progressed last season. He is the only guy who can step up and compete against Nino. Sure Coolhavy is still there but he seems to be extremely inconsistent.

On another note....do you guys think we will see both Kulhavy and Nino again at Epic this year?

I saw a social media post yesterday-Nino will be defending his title

The Epic . . .

I enjoyed watching George and Cadel last year. Their little TV clips gave us a nice little peek into the race - although they weren't "roughing it" by any means.

Another race to look forward to :-)

No chance of Bert returning he has a gig over at Eurosport Spain as a commentator.

I saw that. He could still come back though . . .

Ha ha.. I think that there's very little chance of that.

I like that the guys that have recently retired are moving to commentary..a fresh outlook with knowledge of modern cycling..hey at least you will get Bert commentary in Spain.

Nah, Clenbutador won’t come back. I think he was shocked at how badly he got dropped after last year. He knows he won’t win again, and winners don’t come back to come back to not win, unless they are broke.

Yup

He should've retired the year when he won his last Giro... but at least entertained us after that.

Racing will miss him..but it was time.

the obvious one.

Sagan will not defend his World's title.

left field:

Matieu van dero Poel to get bored with killing CX and dominate some other form of cycling

cock on a block:

Richie Porte to win world champs

I was never sure whether Lance came back because he really thought he could "win clean" or if he really came back to promote Livestrong.

He missed the publicity.

Yes, that and the competition, and being the hero, and racing, everything that went with it.

Thats why often sports stars fall so hard after retiring. They dont get that high of the attention, or winning or the thrill of competition, so they turn to booze and drugs.

But I thinks a safe prediction that Lance wont come back this year.
