What colour bike and why?

I just wish that the carbon look (not the bike brand) will come to an end. Now that 90% of the bikes sold are carbon, why do they still have to leave it unpainted just to show it off. Remember, that top layer of "pretty" weave is only for decoration. Look (again not the brand) at any carbon bike that is painted, especially white, it looks so much classier.
