  2. Do you want to combine an order? save on freight..
  3. Does any one know what brake pads/blocks can be used with the Campag delta? My are rock hard and not too keen to ride with them..
  4. Will have a look at those as well. I haven't bought the tires yet.. Thanks for the recommendation.
  5. Thanks HeartCoppi. It is been a nice project, really enjoying it. Have moved forward slightly, but still waiting for my BB to arrive. I am going to go with Velo's recommendation and put on some Veloflex Master pave tires on. I know it is not the aimbut surpringly enough, I should end up with a sub 10Kgs bike. probably around 9.8kg. Not bad for an old steel bike.
  6. Thanks, velo. Quite excited to have my CBT back on the road. Have the bike since 1985. I bought it in France, so that could explain the BB for the french market. I also have a set of GP40 rims laced to mavic hubs, which I could mount with tubbies. That couls look quite nice as well. Bar tape is going to be Brooks in Brown.
  7. well, the build is coming along. I was a bit confused by the BB, as I thought it was an english BB. Turns out that it is a 35x1 French, so just ordered one from Velo orange.
  8. Well, I got my CBT Italia, back from the paint shop and looking forward to putting it back together over the next few weeks. Got a complete C record gruppo, new San marco regal, brooks bar tape and a few other goodies to put on. I am quite happy with the paint job and should look good with the chrome parts.
  9. Rémy Absalon win the 2011 Megavalanche !!! We like when a plan unfolds without a hitch! 9:42 AM today, Rémy Absalon brought his talent to the all new Meta AM launching plan, as he won the 2011 Megavalanche on it. This year’s Megavalanche was particularly lust after, with all the major Enduro and Marathon DH specialists from all over the world. Remy used his experience and his technical skills to manage his race from beginning to hand Author of a good start, Remy let the boldest racers take all the risks on the glacier. Quite prudent, he went out the icy section with René Wildhaber. When turning for the narrow and technical singletrack, Megaman did a mistake, authorizing the COMMENCAL rider to take a short advantage. Confident with his new Meta All Mountain, the multiple Marathon DH European Champion increased his advance in the steep and rocky sections. When crossing mid-race time split, he outstripped his competitors by about 30 seconds. The second part of the track, a bit less technical but still very marked because of the previous day races didn’t offer much of respite. However, the main assets of his new bike allowed him to pace his shape and even to increase his lead again. Thus, the Superteam rider crossed the finish line with 47 seconds gap above his challengers, Jerome Clementz and Rene Wildhaber, writing his name to the race tablets for the second time. I was missing a bit of explosivity and endurance in the pedaling sections after his wrist injury, he benefitted from confidence with his new Meta All Mountain though. Indeed, he was able to chose risky lines and pace physically in order to keep a constant high speed all along this Megavalanche track. Congrats Remy and to Jean Yves his mechanic who make a essential work

I think I might just do that... This is what I'm riding at the moment' date=' but the frame has a crack so I'm a bit worried... 11. Hey T-girl. My best advice would be to go and ride the bike. Commencal offers demo bikes, which you can try out. Speak to Dave Wiseman Cycles in Durban, they are the Commencal dealer in durbs.
  12. A nice youtube video on the factory framesets and bike build up.
  13. Hey Bikelope, which year model Meta 5.5.2 are you looking at? Both 2008 and 2009 Meta 5.5.2 come with a Fox RP2 as standard. We do have demo bikes available, should you wish to try it out.
  14. Hey Hog, Sorry, we will not be getting frame only, until later in the year (December). We are getting complete bikes in September. I know it does not help, but shows you another option.
  15. Anybody for a bling up old school Colnago Master single speed? I actually think that this is a replica of the bike Colnago gave to the pope a few years back.
  16. Absolutely stunning steed bud!! Do you use this bike regulary?PM me I may be able to assist on a quill stem although if memory serves me right it may be a 120mm?? Thanks, bud. At the moment, I am not using it. Just purchased the period correct record ergo levers. Need the stem to complete. This stem comes off my other project, an 1985 CBT Italia with a mixture of Campag/Mavic/Modolo.. 120mm will be too long for me, thanks though.. Would love to get this one back on the road soon.
  17. Nice bike too... I have the quil you want with a set of cenelli bars thats to narrow for me. Thanks. How much for the set??
  18. Well, this is the right thread. I need to complete my project a 110mm Quill Stem. It needs to fit a 26mm bars. If it has a Tommasini panto, that would be fantastic. The Cinelli that I have at the moment is too big. Here is my project :
