Chain drop off crank on 1x11

I have a xt 1x11 set up. My chain drops off the crank when i do a bouncy/rocky decent and i am in any of the bottom 3 ( furtherest right) gears in the back.

Clutch is engaged.

It is to be noted that there is a bit of play on the chain when in these gears. Chain and whole set up is new on new bike.

Do i need to remove a link?

What this guy ^ said.

I'm running a 2+ year old Race Face NW ring. 'Thing is beyond it's best before date, but still no chain drops.

chain length looks good ( i actually think mine might be longer )

the chain ring is also the better one

is the chain the right way round ?

I'm not sure what the problem could be cause the way it looks everything should work

since the bike is new take it back to the shop if you can't sort it out yourself

Jip chain right way around... but there is no issues apart from the drop and only on bouncy sections.

Maybe i must add, was 2x 11. I just removed the derailer, shifter and small cog.

Stop pedaling to and fro when you go downhill. Sometimes chaindrop is a driver error.

Nope, not in this case. Never had before with similar set up

IMHO without a NW blade at least a chainguide is needed no matter how good your setup may be ....

wait wait wait

are you running 1x11 with the old 34 outer ( 2x11) chainring ?

if indeed the case then you need to get NW chainring

I looked at the picture now.

I think you nailed it
