Cyclist down on Jakes Gerwel

Just left the scene as a witness, some ******** in a Ford ecosport, hit a cyclist going towards voortrekker...

Cyclist was riding in the yellow lane, with front and back lights as well as light on Camelback, and hi vis shirt.

Driver stopped at least.

Side damage to the car as he swerved but too late... All I saw was lights and bikes flying through air... What a *** way to start a ride.

Thankfully he had just left home and another commuter on a clearly stolen spez hardtail stopped and went to call the family.

Stay safe out there! Doesn't seem like any preventative measures will stop you from being driven over...

Sorry to hurt your feelings there champ, but when a gentleman who is clearly from a very low income area has a specialized carbon hardtail with Reba brain fork and XO bits, which is a few sizes too big for him and clearly lacks maintenance, I think it's safe to assume it's origins being less than honorary.

Still behaved heroically to assist his fellow community member and cyclist.

Thanks for the news.hope the cyclist is okay.

Just out of interest, how do you know it's a stolen spez? Especially considering he seems have known the cyclist.

My friend cycles from my sister that way on a red spez hardtail
