Also trying now to remove the autosag off my shock, read the manual,as droo has suggested on many other threads.

Released the air, removed the valve core, took off the O-ring holding the autosag ring on, but cant get the ring off, slides about half way off and then it stops, dont want to apply to much force so it doesn't get damaged, any advice?

Guys, need your help. I am also trying to add volume spacers but this shox is wired.

On it there is Monarch plus RC3 and according to this, we should use this reducers - https://forums.mtbr.com/attachments/ibis/1017250d1442951673-2016-monarch-plus-rc3-hd3-img_8809.jpg

I took off the can (remove oring below autosag, then move it a little bit down, and then unscrew the can.

and what I saw is (picture attached), did not fit with dedicated monarch plus rc3 tokens.

It looks like more delux plus - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0349/7357/products/RS6830_c356c4f3-6acb-4ff4-b118-9830123efb0c_grande.jpg?v=1587631019

so what is going on here? I can not find answer anywhere, even in user manual. This Specialized autosag shox are solo air right?

Which air reducer did you put there?

You don't get volume reducers for standard Monarchs unfortunately.

what do you mean by starndard?

It has to be debonAir to be able to add one?

hmm and now after service, shock does not want to compress even without air. when I put air in to it, it is stiff like a hell. After pressing AutoSag all the air is going through it:/ ehh I dont know what I did wrong, need to find this out to not brake the damper.

Correct. There may be aftermarket spacers I'm not aware of, but given that this is my day job the chances are reasonably slim. (But not impossible, sadly I don't know everything...)

Is the shock mounted to the bike and compressed when pressing the AS valve? If not, it'll keep releasing air until it hits the sag point, which if the shock isn't loaded is never.

If the shock is mounted and loaded, you've nicked or left out one of the seals in the AS assembly.

If the shock isn't mounted to the bike you'll battle to compress it unless you can apply 50+ kgf by squeezing your hands together. There's an air charge in the damper which stops cavitation behind the piston and you're pushing against that. If the main air valve is installed you're compressing the main air chamber too, which adds to your difficulty.

droo, thanks a lot for this exact description, you made my Friday evening better:)

shock is not mounted on the bike, so autosag works like you said. compression might be the same (will check on bike). I just cleaned everything, put grease and ordered oil (will apply later on).

wish you great weekend and thanks for your time:)

I have nothing but time at the moment, so you're welcome to it...

If you have any more issues either post here or PM me and hopefully I can help you out.

So I went to my local shop and fortunately I was able to check debonair can upgrade (they had 200x and 216x)

Looks like 216x will fit to this specialized unique 216x57 size.

I put 3 spacers and now I am waiting only for a 15w50 oil. Hope it will work on the bike :D

As Autosag is composite with SoloAir can, it will not be available after upgrade but for me that was just useless feature.

@Droo what oil substitute could you recommend for the RS stuff. Remember on my old fox shocks using 80wt gear oil.

I could not wait longer to check this debonair on my bike. Instead of 15w50, I put 10w40 full syntetic for motorbike.

Works like a charm:)

For 60$ upgrade, I can recommend it everyone:)

I've never had to look for a substitute, I've got so much of the 15W50 from the kits that I just give it away for free. But Bheki says I can't right now.

It's Maxima Extra 4 15W50, 124.8 cSt @ 40C. Float fluid should do the job if you've got, otherwise a heavy full synthetic motor oil should do the job, as long as it doesn't have seal swelling additives.
