Why not just get one in Bloemfontein?

I know it is a small dorpie with a crap rugby team, a pond for a waterfront and is run by Ace but I'm almost sure there is at least one bike shop that could sort you out

It's been raining cats and dogs here since about 11h00 today so hoping for you that it will rain left and right of, but not on the road.

I got Hit so bad with HAIL the size of 10c pieces. I had no where to hide. It was Heavy.

Arrived in Bloemfontein around 21h00 after suffering from the bad rain and hail.

Got puncture #2 from over 2000km.

I'm wondering myself as he last posted on Strava yesterday up to Phillipolis. [emoji848][emoji2955] I know he had some rainy weather with winds yesterday. Hope all is well with him. [emoji853][emoji3525]

That Strava post was this morning (Wednesday) when he reached Phillipolis around 04:00. Strava records the date/time group at the start of the activity, which in this case was yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) leaving Winburg.

 

We also hope that David is ok and that after a couple of hours sleep he hit the road again, and that lack of connectivity has precluded any updates. Been an incredible ride so far, but 255km days needed for today as well as the next two to make the DC in time.

My knee started to Swell up and got uncomfortable.

 

The plan is to get a lift to Swellendam. With the leg rested I will manage to do the DC. Sunday is a Scheduled rest day and Return last stretch on Monday.

I'm sure this is a silly question because I have no idea what you're going through to get this far, 

 

but can't you get to Colesberg? maybe kick back there for a few days and rest up?
