You'll have to provide a location for nearest club suggestions :)

Welcome Simphiwe, whats the injury?

More info for others to be able to guide you will help. Body measurements etc......

Thank you everyone.

I weigh 73kg and 1.67m tall. I live in Northcliff, however any clubs around Jhb West Rand will be perfect.

I have been running for 2 years. My 21k running time was 2h14 and 58min 10k. I was averaging 30-50k per week in training and club runs. I'm not sure about cycling, but running can be addictive and I ended up overdoing it and hurt myself. I suffered shin splits injury beginning of September resulting in DVT and I'm currently recovering until December.

I trust this is enough information.

Welcome and hope you find another addiction.

Think you should be looking at the 50 cm frame size. Quite a few in the classifieds that will suite you. As for clubs in your area check with northcliff cycles and the good old linden cycles. They should be able to assist you with that.

Hi all

I have finally decided on a Bianchi.

Am currently dilemma-ing between two bikes. Bianchi Vertigo and Bianchi Intenso.

I test rode both today. I feel not much the wiser to be honest. The Vertigo I got to ride for 10 minutes or so and the intenso for 5! The Vertigo looks amazing and is a lovely comfortable ride. The Intenso felt super fast and responsive - both great really.

Any thoughts?

Seems as if the Vertigo has struck your chord. Get that one. Always get what you want, you are more likely to ride it.

Bianchi is one of the best, most historic brands out there.

good choice get a good pair of shoes/pedals and bargain for a free pro bike fit from whatever dealer you are dealing with

ask them about club/group rides in your area
